Players can choose to play as a commander in RTS mode, overseeing the battle from orbit, or as an infantry soldier in FPS mode, able to control all available units and vehicles and their arsenal. Silica offers players an immersive blend of real-time strategy (RTS) and first-person shooter (FPS). The game will be available in early access on Steam very soon, with an expected duration of 9 to 12 months and several major updates already announced. Silica was developed primarily by Martin "Dram" Melichárek, a familiar name to fans of Bohemia Interactive since he also worked on Take On Mars. Their objective is to locate and harvest Balterium, a precious element with exceptional energy properties. Born from the Bohemia incubator, this new game transports players to the fictional planet of Baltarus, thousands of light years from Earth. Bohemia Interactive, a renowned video game development studio, announces the upcoming release of Silica, a futuristic RTS/FPS hybrid game.
